We are Wildert Mestdagh and Yenno Tellier, two young adventurers who believe that extreme sports not only inspire but also have the power to change the world. Our passion for kitesurfing and action sports has led us to a greater purpose: purifying water for communities in need. Through TRY, we combine sports, adventure, and impact into a unique movement. Our ultimate goal? 200,000 liters of clean drinking water for Tsiandamba, Madagascar by 2025.
To realize this dream, we organize unique events, trips, and a world-first festival. Every part of our journey contributes to our final goal and connects extreme athletes, adventurers, and changemakers.
Tsiandamba in Madagascar faces severe water shortages every year during the dry season. The lack of clean drinking water causes health problems and limits community development.
To address this problem, we aim to purify 200.000 litres of water:
How does purification work?
Every month, our team travels to Tsiandamba to keep the water purification systems operational. Our leader travels in a transport vehicle, accompanied by two military personnel to ensure smooth operations, along with three additional crew members. In consultation with the local tribal chiefs, it has been agreed that only they may collect the purified drinking water from the base camp.
At the base camp, two Rainman (140L with 2 x 40” RO membranes) water purification systems, each capable of purifying 140 liters per hour, are ready to transform seawater into clean drinking water.
Our crew collects seawater in buckets and transports it to the reservoirs, where it undergoes purification and becomes drinkable water (CWATER). This purified water is then distributed in bidons to the local population, ensuring an equal distribution among households. Each local family has its own reusable bidon, which is refilled regularly.
Currently, we can purify water for 35 hours each month. To reach our goal of 200,000 liters by 2025, we are harnessing the essence of kitesurfing (a sport powered by nature) through TRY trips and a world-first TRY festival, elevating water purification efforts to new heights.
Aloha Antwerpen is a dynamic kitesurfing school focused on fast and efficient learning. The goal is to guide students toward becoming independent kiters while fostering a strong community where they can continue their journey. Whether through training, coaching, or networking, Aloha Antwerpen strives to create a space for personal and sporting growth.
The ultimate goal of Aloha Antwerpen is to ignite a passion for kitesurfing and inspire participation in TRY trips. By immersing participants in the thrill of kitesurfing, Aloha aims to spark their interest in these immersive trips, where they can further develop their skills. Aloha’s collaboration with TRY offers participants the chance to explore the magical warm-water lagoon of Ankasy and experience the powerful thermal winds ideal for kitesurfing.
Once participants gain confidence in their abilities, TRY and Aloha will guide them toward joining the TRY Festival, the most unique kitesurfing festival in the world. During this event, kiters will embark on a downwinder adventure using limited-edition kites, alongside 130 traditional pirogues from Project Focus, traveling from Ankasy to Tsiandamba. This initiative raises awareness for clean water efforts, with each kite symbolizing water purification. The fusion of extreme sports, environmental impact, and community building lies at the heart of Aloha Antwerpen’s mission.
Through safe and efficient coaching, Aloha Antwerpen lays the foundation for participants to pursue their passion for kitesurfing while contributing to a greater cause. The skills acquired here prepare them for the next step: TRY trips and festivals that combine adventure with meaningful impact.
In May 2025, we will organize “The House of TRY,” where it all begins. This exclusive event brings like-minded individuals together to get acquainted with our project and commit to Cwater. During this evening, the Voice of TRY takes center stage, symbolized by sails with eyes representing our vision: the iris, the purest part of the human eye, stands for our mission.
The shared goal of this event is to further support the people of Tsiandamba, Madagascar. For every ticket sold, 50 liters of water will be donated to Tsiandamba, directly contributing to the growth of Cwater. Thanks to your support, we can help more people and achieve our goal for 2025.
TRY unites not only the best kitesurfers and athletes but also individuals who use their passion for sports to help others. This event is an opportunity to celebrate not just sporting achievements but also meaningful contributions to global water purification.
Finally, the Voice of TRY will take center stage at our festival in Madagascar. Its iris will be displayed at both the festival and “The House of TRY,” playing a key role in water purification and marking special moments within our brand. Your support makes a difference, and together, we take a significant step toward our collective mission!

During the high season, we organize a gathering of watersport enthusiasts and impact-makers at Surfers Paradise in Knokke. This event serves as the Belgian kick-off for our festival, providing a unique opportunity to unite the TRY community. Here, we will launch 60 limited-edition Cwater kites, developed in collaboration with Vantage Kiteboarding, into the sky for the first time. Each kite represents 6,000 liters of purified water, contributing to our mission of water purification and raising awareness for clean water initiatives.
This event will also serve as an important media moment, with images of the launched limited-edition kites featured in KH Magazine. Beyond just a gathering, this event will showcase the synergy between watersports and environmental consciousness.
Ultimately, our festival will be a platform for kitesurfing adventures that bring people together and contribute to the larger goal of water purification. The kites will also embark on a downwinder to Tsiandamba, Madagascar, further expanding the global reach of our project.
Through these events and adventures, we aim to create a world where extreme sports like kitesurfing are harnessed to drive sustainable impact and raise awareness for water purification. The 60 kites are just the beginning of a larger movement that will inspire the world to take action for a better future.

In Curaçao, we organize special kitesurf shoots at breathtaking locations. Through TRY, we bring our story to the global kitesurfing community, reaching an international audience. Wildert Mestdagh and Yenno Tellier will lead exclusive limited-edition kite shoots at iconic locations to promote Cwater internationally. The goal is to use kitesurfing as a powerful storytelling tool, connecting the passion and strength of the kitesurfing community to a greater cause: water purification. These shoots raise awareness for Cwater and further support the project.
TRY expands to new adventures, offering select instructors in Curaçao the opportunity to experience the project firsthand on a TRY Trip. By engaging in this extreme sport, they contribute to providing clean water for Tsiandamba. Additionally, we will introduce our project to kitesurf schools across the Caribbean, fostering global awareness. The shoots and activities will also generate international exposure for our festival in Madagascar, amplifying attention for our water purification initiatives.

Four young TRY athletes undertake a channel crossing with the limited edition kites, inspired by the legendary achievement of Louis Blériot, who once did the same with his airplane. This extreme stunt aims to raise awareness for Cwater and the importance of clean drinking water. The event highlights a shared goal: supporting philanthropic initiatives through extreme sports such as kitesurfing, freestyle skiing, and more.
The crossing has been done before, but never for such a social cause. The crossing itself is a symbolic act for water purification. The riders will actively participate on-site to purify the water in the area. Each kite used for this crossing was purchased by the riders themselves and purifies no less than 20,000 liters of water for Cwater, directly contributing to the larger goal.
Participants are fully committed to TRY’s mission. This event brings kitesurfers together, and the riders of the Dover crossing are not just sports partners but also best friends. They have big plans to make this event an annual tradition and expand it further. This makes it not just a unique crossing but also the start of a growing community of engaged athletes.

TRY Trips are designed to introduce people to action sports in a safe way while sharing a common goal: making a positive impact. Extreme sports such as kitesurfing, motocross, paragliding, wakeboarding, climbing, and surfing are inseparable from TRY Trips. Kitesurfing is at the core, but by bringing together different sports disciplines, TRY proves that extreme sports are not just about adrenaline, they also contribute to a greater mission.
By joining these trips, you enable the purification of 1,000 liters of water per guest. Every participant is given the chance to actively help purify water by joining us in Tsiandamba. This way, more families gain access to clean drinking water each year, supporting our broader vision of positive change.
Beyond sports, TRY is a community with a mission. The House of TRY is where sports, art, music, and impact come together, and we carry this vibe into our trips and festival. During the beach parties and the festival, we unite like-minded adventurers who are part of a movement that is changing the world.
During the TRY Trips, you’ll experience the unique vibe of the TRY festival. You’ll have the chance to sail with traditional pirogues from Project Focus as preparation for the festival. This is a special opportunity to immerse yourself in Malagasy culture, learn from local traditions, and combine the magic of kitesurfing with art and sustainability. At the TRY Festival, a downwinder will take place from Ankasy to Tsiandamba, with 130 traditional pirogues and 60 limited edition kites forming a powerful visual symbol for clean drinking water and sustainable change.

The extreme athletes and adventurers participating in the downwinder from Ankasy to Tsiandamba will sail alongside 130 traditional pirogues and 60 limited edition Cwater kites—a powerful visual message of solidarity and adventure.
